Our exclusive Ultra Bond Shower Sealing Technology allows us to seal up to 95% of leaking showers without the need to remove tiles. Where applicable this service saves you or your clients massive amounts of time, money and hassle, in that each shower can be sealed within 2.5-5 hours, the shower is usable again within 24-48 hours and has a cost that is literally a fraction of waterproofing & tiling and or shower renovations.
Should your shower be too far gone to seal, with too many loose or cracked tiles and or underlying damages, then our intention would be to provide you with waterproofing & tiling and or shower renovation options.
With over 50 years of experience between the owners and more than 100 years of combined experience across our wider team, Shower Sealed has gained a unique and extensive understanding of the shower repair industry. The following questions highlight a few important things we recommend considering when selecting a company to work on your shower.
We always recommend ensuring the company you engage is QBCC licensed. Shower Sealed is fully QBCC licensed and specialises in all aspects of shower sealing and leaking shower repairs. A QBCC licence means the company has met strict state regulatory standards, demonstrating the necessary qualifications, financial stability, and professionalism, providing peace of mind that your shower repairs are in the hands of a qualified and accountable contractor.
Being a genuinely Queensland family-grown, owned and operated company since 2008 gives Shower Sealed a unique perspective within the local industry. We regularly see misleading advertising where businesses claim to be “local”, when in reality they are interstate-owned operations using satellite servicemen or franchise networks. We believe this matters, because a long and proven service history in Queensland provides reassurance that the company you engage will be here to support its work well into the future.
Over the years, we’ve seen many forms of perceived competition come and go. We’ve even come across companies attempting to provide quotes over the phone or based on photos alone. On a number of occasions, we’ve also attended properties at the same time as other companies, only to see their representative walk in and out within a minute. From our experience, it’s simply not possible to carry out a thorough and accurate inspection in that time, let alone by not even physically seeing or touching the shower recess.
We strongly recommend making sure that whoever you engage takes the time to properly assess the individual condition of your shower. No matter what any company may suggest, there is no “one-size-fits-all” solution when it comes to leaking showers.
With over 50 years of combined experience between the owners, and well over 100 years across our wider team, we understand that every shower is different. Variations in design, age, and condition mean that the correct repair method can vary significantly from one shower to the next.
Our exclusive Ultra Bond Tech sealing system allows us to successfully seal up to 95% of leaking showers without removing tiles, making it a highly effective and cost-efficient solution in many situations. However, not all showers can or should be sealed, particularly where there is significant deterioration, too many loose or cracked tiles, underlying damage, or structural issues present.
One of the advantages of dealing with Shower Sealed is that we provide more than just sealing services. In addition to shower sealing, we also carry out shower repairs, waterproofing, tiling, and full shower renovations when required. This allows us to provide honest and unbiased advice based on the true condition of your shower, rather than trying to force a single solution.
Following a thorough onsite inspection, we will explain the condition of your shower and provide the most appropriate options so you can make a well-informed decision on how you would like to proceed.
At Shower Sealed, the average cost to seal a leaking shower typically ranges between $495 and $995, depending on the size, style, condition of the shower, and the specific services required.
In recent times, we’ve become aware of some significantly inflated prices being quoted within the industry for shower sealing services. In many cases, these costs are more in line with tiling works rather than a sealing repair, which can be misleading for homeowners. In some cases, these companies are even quoting these high amounts without physically seeing your shower.
If you’ve received a quote that seems unusually high, or you would simply like a second opinion, we welcome you to arrange a free onsite inspection with our team. We will thoroughly assess the condition of your shower and provide clear, honest advice along with an accurate quote, so you can make an informed decision on how you would like to proceed.
*Please be aware that should we determine your shower has too many loose or cracked tiles and/or underlying issues, our intention would be to provide waterproofing & tiling and/or shower renovation services where applicable.
