Shower Regrouting Service!
Shower regrouting involves removing and replacing old, worn, or mouldy grout between your tiles. On its own, shower regrouting can significantly refresh the appearance of a tired shower and improve overall hygiene.
At Shower Sealed, we use Ultra Bond Grout as part of our Ultra Bond Technology Shower Sealing System. Ultra Bond Grout is designed to be flexible, hard wearing, water resistant and suitable for wet shower environments while protecting shower areas from water penetration through deteriorated grout sections. It also incorporates anti-fungal and mould resistant properties designed for wet shower conditions.
Our Ultra Bond Technology Shower Sealing System combines specialised products, tools, and proven methods designed to target common leak points within the shower. While full shower regrouting can be carried out where required, it is typically completed in conjunction with our sealing process to achieve longer-lasting results.
We specialise in shower regrouting and sealing leaking showers without removing tiles. Where suitable, we carry out regrouting to shower walls, shower floors, shower hobs, around baths & splashbacks.
Please note: In some cases, particularly where the grout is cement-based or has hardened significantly over time, or where tiles are very small or delicate, removal of the grout may not be possible or recommended due to the risk of damaging the tiles and or the tiles lifting.
* Note the above listed images are from showers that have had complete shower sealing and regrouting services.
* We offer warranties of up to 7 years, depending on the style, size, condition or service.
How It Works
We conduct a thorough on-site assessment to locate all potential leak sources, including tiles, grout, seals, junctions, drains, and screens. We also try to identify possible issues in relation to pre-existing damage or design issues that could affect works required.
Where a shower is determined to be suitable for our Ultra Bond Technology Shower Sealing System, damaged grout and deteriorated sealants are carefully removed from between the tiles, as required and in accordance with the quoted scope of works, before the area is prepared for regrouting and sealing. Where possible & part of work scopes, cracked or loose tiles may also be repaired or re-glued as part of this process.
Depending on the quoted scope of works, part or all of the shower is regrouted and sealed using specialised grouts, sealing products and, where applicable, protective surface treatments designed to help prevent moisture penetration. As every shower is unique, the work required and products used will vary depending on its condition.
Please note: The above process refers to our Ultra Bond shower sealing system only. Where a shower has excessive damage, loose or cracked tiles, or underlying structural issues, we may recommend alternative solutions such as waterproofing and tiling works, or full shower renovation services.
What We Fix
Grout and sealants act as the first line of defence in a tiled shower, helping to limit water penetration below the surface. Over time, moisture, daily use, and minor structural movement can cause grout and sealants to weaken or deteriorate across multiple areas.
Our shower regrouting and sealing service focuses on repairing the most common grout and sealant failure points using specialised tools, products, and procedures designed to restore and protect your shower.
We commonly address:
- Cracked, missing, or deteriorating grout between tiles
- Mouldy, stained, or discoloured grout
- Shower wall areas showing wear or moisture damage
- Shower floor grout affected by constant water exposure
- Shower hob or step areas
- Deteriorated, mouldy, or lifting sealants within niches
- Areas around or inside waste drain sections
- Bathroom or kitchen splashbacks

Absolutely and utterly impressed by the quality of tradesmen that shower sealed provided. Being a tradesman myself I know how hard it can be sometimes to get everyone to work together but they did it seamlessly.
Pleasure to work with and can definitely highly recommend.. thank you shower sealed.
Thank you for the great job on our shower cubicle which was leaking. The fellow who did the work went way beyond what I imagined would be done in time and effort. I would definitely recommend your company to anyone with a leaky shower.
Kept well informed during the process and Connor was on time, very professional and courteous. Completed the job on time. Would recommend and use again if necessary.
WOW! Cannot recommend this company highly enough. Very professional, quick to respond and follow up. All work was performed to a very high standard. We had two (unusually shaped) showers to re-seal which was no easy task, but the technician Shane ("Shankar") went way above and beyond our expectations to finish the job/s. We have dealt with many trades over time and Shower Sealed and their enthusiastic team need to be commended for their exemplary service. Thanks again Shane/Shankar - Top Job!
Shanka is by far the best technician ever. He resealed both our showers at our penthouse in Main Beach 3 days ago. His work is faultless, he works so very hard with only one very short break and he is the most polite technician we have ever seen. Shower Seal must be so very proud to have him on their team.
Thank you very much for a phenomenal experience.
I do so recommend this company. They were so helpful from the first call to enquire to Shankar who came yesterday to seal etc my en-suite shower. Every appointment was followed up by the office staff. All were on time & lovely people. Shankar is excellent & left my en-suite sparkling clean. The whole service from everyone was professional & deserves 5 stars. I look forward to using the shower on Friday

Shower Regrouting FAQs
Shower regrouting is the process of removing deteriorated or damaged grout and replacing it with new grout between the tiles in a shower. This helps restore the appearance and overall condition of the shower and, where appropriate, can form part of a broader shower sealing and repair process.
Yes, where appropriate, shower regrouting can significantly improve the condition of a shower and, in many cases, completely revitalise the shower area. The overall result will depend on how much of the shower is regrouted, along with the condition of the surrounding tiles, sealants, and the underlying shower structure.
In most cases, shower regrouting can be completed within a few hours.Where required, we replace grout in the shower floor, walls, and/or hob or step-in section, usually in conjunction with our sealing service. Our combined sealing and regrouting process typically takes 2.5 to 5 hours, depending on the size, condition, and extent of work required. In most cases, the shower can be back in use within 24 to 48 hours, depending on the service carried out.
Showers are naturally wet environments, and with ongoing moisture, heat, steam, limited ventilation, and the presence of mould spores, mould can develop within grout and sealants over time. One of the main issues is that mould often penetrates into the surface of the grout and sealants. In many cases, the only effective way to properly improve the condition is to remove and replace the affected materials. While many professional products include anti-mould properties and can help reduce the likelihood of mould growth, mould can still return over time depending on cleaning habits, ventilation, and the overall conditions within the bathroom. It’s also important to be cautious of claims that mould will never come back, as this is not strictly accurate. If you are dealing with severe or potentially harmful mould, it is recommended to speak with a mould specialist.

Yes, regrouting can significantly revitalise the look of a shower, and in some cases make it look almost new again.
The final result will depend on how much of the shower is re-grouted, whether mouldy or deteriorated sealants are also replaced, and the overall condition of the shower tiles themselves.
